Amyism 57

We’ve missed a few for a while..but had to post this one.  Amy asked about our new Frisbee…and stated that it didn’t throw too far, because it was really made for people in wheelchairs.  Can you tell why she might have thought that?

Toffee Covered Peanut Adventure

Decided to play dreidel with the kids using toffee covered peanuts tonight.  Didn’t like the idea of using gelt – was too much like teaching the them to gamble.  So off to the store we went – a 30 minute round trip (max).  $40 bucks later, we had our peanuts, and a few other items.  But before heading home, everyone wanted to go looking at Christmas lights.  3 hours later, we were taking the long route home, through the back road where I ride by my road bike.  About 2 miles away from my house, I decided to pull over to show my family a really nice landscape job that someone had just completed. Only  I forgot.  It had been raining all day.  The soils out near our house darn near turn to quick sand when it’s saturated.  Well, down went the right side of my car.  Covered about ¾ of my wheels.  ½ hour later, AAA arrived and barely tipped our van over pulling us out.  We made it, though…

We had to move our vehicles down the road to do the paperwork.  I told the kids what we were doing, and my sweet Hannah (4) said, ya’ know, how Daddy goes to work and does stuff there.  That guy is going to help Daddy with his work!

Anyhow, our trip started around 5pm.  Around 10pm, Caleb had dreideled away everyone else’s peanuts.   I think that’ll make the good memory list!
